Having cared for my mother with Alzheimer's for the last 5 yrs., I think the emotional toll on caregivers is worse than the physical. To always be on alert in case something happens results in something comparable to Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome.
Don't overdo, or you may be likely to develop an autoimmune disorder, like fibromyalgia, etc. Take care of yourself & God bless. Sounds like you and your family have already invested a lot of love & energy into you family. Congratulations!

I always think that the real meaning of retirement is
having the chance to be "tired" again...lol...   Naomi

Golly, you make me tired just reading about all of your activities and you are nine years ahead of me. I can't keep up.

You are a busy lady! But you give so much of yourself away to others and hopefully it will come back to you tenfold. God bless you.

WOW ! you do lots. I know being a caregiver is time consuming and at times difficult as I did this for my mother, father and husband.

Don't let anyone tell you that after 'retirement' things slow down ! ha

I help with my children, grandchildren, friends, at church, belong to garden club and quilt club. The list goes on and on but I enjoy every minute of it. I have a large acerage and many flower beds. A small vegetable garden as I am only one and don't do lots of canning lately.

I go out to eat and dancing occasionally. For 71 I am in good health. No drugs, only exercise and supplements.
