I have been exactly where your DH is now. That was ten years ago and I have been free and clear ever since. Make sure they don't let him eat too soon. I was given solid food too soon after my surgery and it caused some trouble.

OK, so, who is confused here??? DH = dear husband, no? Why are we wishing "dad" and "father" speedy recovery? Ladies...what kind of iced tea did we have with lunch today??? Hummmmm???? LOL LOL LOL LOL :-)
In any case, hope your DH is better really soon, that you get heat, and that your root veggies get dug before they freeze!!! You are a very industrious girl!!

You have had such a trying week -- poor thing! I'm so glad to hear that so far so good. Wish I could be there to help with your veggies. Don't overdo it. He needs you to be healthy so you can help him heal. Hugs and prayers to you and your hubby.

Thank you all for such wonderful replies. I just brought hubby home. He is doing great...all things considered!!! He will be on pain meds for a few more days yet, and has to take it easy for a while. He will take this next week off work, and then "maybe" go in for 1/2 days the next week. The pathology results came back negative, so now we can finally stop worrying!
He had an envelope arrive by "snail mail" while he was in hospital. Since his coworkers had been planning something for his birthday, and he fooled them all by having surgery on his b'day, we expected it would be a b'day card. Nope. It was a hand written get-well note from the chancellor of the university that he works at!!! We were both very impressed!!
We are very fortunate to have good friends offer to help when it comes time to dig up the root veggies. There is not as much to harvest this year as most years as it was too wet in the spring to get a lot planted. Seems Someone had a plan all along. :)
