I've read that most who seem to know this stuff say this winter will be a bad one.

in the midwest they are saying dry and extreme colds like last year only WORSE....there were NO nuts this year..our squirrels are already starving....will be hard on the little guys as well!

I'm with you on that -- one year I was without for 10 days. Good thing I had a wood stove and a large glass greenhouse for warmth.

I showered at work in the gym. But I got really cranky after a while -- only instant coffee with water heated on the small flat top stove for breakfast.
Cold food was no problem -- it was freezing outside anyways..

Getting a good supply of food, paper projects, etc. as well as quilt projects lined up so if I can't go out we'll be OK. Would stock up on chocolates but they would be gone before the first snowfall, LOL!

I have heard the same thing too...our last few winters have been way snowier than what we had for a long time...guess we will have to wait and see what winter brings...and use any extra indoor time for quilting!

You sound like me...if I have coffee and/or cappuccino, I can survive...lol...Naomi
