    Good morning everyone.

Well I kept the taboo for last week, no flavored coffee creamer in my coffee. I learned that I can drink coffee just fine with just Sweet n Low and no calories. Will admit that now that that taboo is over I'm feeling like running to the frig to get the creamer but so far I've resisted. I don't think this week week will be a problem because I stick pretty close to WW dinners and food that has low point value, fruits & veggies.

Judy, I have the same problem you have with water, I just hate it. I do drink maybe one bottle of propel a day but I'm way under my suggested amount of water to drink. Do you have any ideas or little tricks up your sleeve?

Cindy if we're sending Feb FQ to you again I need the color and the address and the deadline so I can get my Feb FQ there in time. PM me with the info. Thanks.

Well I'd better get going I have church quilters group this morning, don't want to be late.

Have a good day, One Day At a Time.

    Jeanne

Dody, good taboo for this week. I'm glad it wasn't for last week when we were one the road for 3 days. I did well with last week's. I stayed away from the fudge. After I got away from the fudge I tried to make it all candy. That was too hard for me as the Godiva truffles my daughter gave me for my bd were calling me. At least it was a small box with only 8 pieces and I saved the coconut one for hubby.
I can't imagine sewing binding on by hand, Dody. Could you bring the backing fabric to the front for the binding?
There were 6 of us in the walking/running group at church on monday. It was good and definitely pushed me to go faster and further than I would have on my own. Today's is canceled because of the storm passing through. I don't know how many inches of rain we got but it was 1 wild night! No problem, I will exercise in the house today.
I'm so happy to get back to my weekly quilting group. They are such a great group of ladies.

Miss Rita, some day I hope to be able to say that I live far from any fast foods too. When we moved here 18 years ago it was pretty much still the country, now it has burst it's seams. The 2 lane highways are 6 lanes & I don't like it at all. The house is going back on the market soon; we couldn't sell it last year because of all of the foreclosures here. Wish us luck this time.

Cindy, lol, no worries on those onion rings! I knew that I was posting too late for lunch. If this taboo makes you think twice about lunch then I have done my job!

Judy, whoohoo on no ice cream!!! That first week is the hardest, don't you think? After shoveling all of that snow I don't thin ice cream would be calling me....hot chocolate maybe!

Jeanne, way to go on keeping your taboo too!!!

Pam, You are brilliant! I think I had orginally thought to do that with the binding & forgot!!! I need to check to see if I already made the binding.....if I didn't I am going your way!!! Fast food when you're on the road is hard to avoid, isn't it? Although hubby & I like to keep sandwich fixings & fruit in the car cause we hate stopping (except for gas) Once we made it from Denver to Atlanta...straight thru...that was not pretty!!! *big yawn*

Good morning/afternoon, y'all. I just had breakfast - a chicken breast. I have read several places that to lose weight you must have protein for breakfast. That doesn't fit with my personal 'carbs before noon' program, but I am willing to try it to jumpstart a weight loss. I am down a couple of pounds for the month, but not back to pre holiday weight.

I had a dream last night and now know how to dress up the snowballs and 9 patches for my daughter's quilt. I am anxious to try it, but I will get the Cystic Fibrosis spiral done first so I don't have to pull any all nighters. I'm getting to old for that. I have the last piece of fabric in the dryer now.

My back is screaming, but that's too bad. I will put on a brace or two and go walking anyway.

Sounds like everyone is doing well, though we haven't heard from several of our regulars. Cindy, I know you are tired with going back to work, but I'd love to see a picture of the FQS - maybe because they are red. I love red and most of its derivatives. My LR is sponged coral over pink, my BR is lilac over peach, my DR is liliac patterned, my BR is adobe clay colored, my FR is paneled - not my choice, but its curtains and accessories are rusty red. The dog's BR is aqua, the guest room is light blue and the real sewing room is lilac and aqua. Hmm, a couple of non reds there - oh, the laundry room is yellow, but above the pink and yellow border it's peach, pink and yellow swirled. Some blues in there, but mostly reds. I am painting my peachy SW kitchen red as soon I think I can stand on a ladder.

Have a good day, y'all. I am losing weight and getting healthier.

I am doing OK this month on weight loss. Just ok not wonderful. I am down a few pounds. I missed my Saturday weigh in because of an ice storm. I will weigh in on Saturday, hope it is good. I love fast food but rarely get it. I only get a 30 minute lunch and we aren't allowed to leave the building. I work in a school. I will make my taboo for this week chocolate instead. I have been eating way too much of it lately. I just bought some more of it today. I will either have to give it to my son and husband or hide it. I have been eating pretty healthy but have been adding too much chocolate to it lately. Now that my kids are older it is much easier to cook healthy they will eat pretty much anything. So much easier when they were young and picky.

My trouble is chocolate too. I put 1 tsp of suar-free fudge sauce on a strawberry fat free yogert. Yummy. Mary

Coyotemagic, you can start today, though you won't be in the FQ challenge. Just post regularly and you are one of us. To be in the challenge, watch for the February sign up which will run from very late Jan to early on Feb 3, sign up and then send a FQ to the PO box before Feb 10th.

It's too soon to tell, but this chicken for breakfast thing may have something going for it. I haven't felt the need to eat every 15 minutes today. Coming from a compulsive overeater, that's amazing.

Off to cut out the strips for the spiral. I will pay attention as they are all different widths and I have a headache, which is very rare for me.

I have a pint jar of lemon water to take with me. I will drink more. No, I am drinking more. It has to be now, not in the future, I am, not I will.
