Jill scored big at yardsale today.
My friend Jill came in late today to our quilting bee. She was carrying all this stuff and told us we would not believe what she had bought at a yardsale. She bought a vintage Singer, the one that is in the brown carry case, which is one step above the Featherweight with all the attachments. Sews perfect. Also bought a sewing case that is similiar to an accordian and was filled with all types of needles, thread, bobbins; it had 8 drawers full. She had a vintage basket with cross stitched pictures, patterns, thread, quilting magazines from 1984 and crochet patterns and bedspread yarn. There was something else too, but I actually forget what it was. She offered them $15 while the one guy went into the house to ask the prices of the lady selling the stuff. When the boy came out, the price was only $10 but Jill said she would pay them the $15 she offered. I wish I had a picture of this sewing machine, it is absolutely beautiful and Tina who is Jill's best friend, grabbed some fabric and started sewing on it. Absolutely perfect. So I guess I will stop by the next yard sale I see, who knows what I might find ?
