Several months back or more there was a humorous post listing the types of replies a post will receive. I wish I had saved it. I want to share it with a friend. It went something like this:

xx% will post an in-depth response
xx% will post a response completely off-topic etc.
    xx% will say "I don't know."

I tried to search for it, but could not find it. If you bookmarked it or know where to find it, would you share the location with me.

    Thanks!

Quilterfay posted her question "What is/was your occupation?" on October 29, 2011-----is this what you're looking for?

That's not the post ...but it is an interesting link. Thanks for your assistance.

Looking back at my initial post, I need to clarify....

The post was about the way people in general reply to a question posted on message board. I want to use it as a teaching tool in a class.

Suppose I posted a asked a question about how to tie a quilt.

X% people would respond with great detail.
X% would respond they hate tying quilts.
x% would talk on tangent about the string/thread.
X% would respond they didn't know.

Anyway, it was much better than my example.

If you replied to the post then you can look it up in your file. I once did a survey and was told that I would only get about 11% back. I thought this was too low a %, but I got 12% back, near enough to be correct.
good luck in your search for % of different responses on this site.
