Default Journal covers with pen pocket

A while ago a friend give me a covered A5 journal with a pen pocket. Thinking what a great idea it was as it just slipped neatly into my handbag I asked if she would mind if I copied it. She was more than happy for me to do so in fact she sent me the dimensions so out with the scrap bins and this is what was made.

I have since gone on and made quite a few more. All the recipients love them.

Love them! Our guild gives gift bags to residents of a senior living center each year, we each do a couple of bags. No food items are allowed, as many have dietary restrictions. I like to make covers like these that fit composition notebooks, a couple of pens/pencils, and other useful, practical items. Depending on fabrics, they can be for men or women, pretty or funny, etc. A great gift!

Notebook covers like that are awesome. I add a flap and velcro closure to keep it all together.

Those are really neat. I would also like to have the dimensions or the pattern. Please.
