    LOL!

Is very hot here in humid Mississippi, the storms tonight made it a little cooler, but still as muggy as a tub of skeeters.
My daughter is stationed at Ft Riley!

I lived in Ogden and in Riley, the town.
I loved it there. I hated to leave, but it was time.

I still have 2 kids with their families in Kansas, one in Topeka and one in Uniontown, outside of Ft. Scott.

I wish you lived there too cause I would come and visit you in a heartbeat!!

We are not going to be able to go to Tennessee for our summer trip this year. We will be going to Dallas and then back home after the family reunion. I think I am going to go to Nebraska to see my girlfriend Cathie after we get home from Texas. I am going to try and stay with her for a couple weeks or so.

OH OH!! BIG HUGE NEWS!! My case manager for the IMPACT program that I am a part of. (I have schizophrenia and they bring me my meds everyday to make sure I take them.) Ashley, my case manager, said that next Wednesday when they have their staff meeting they are going to suggest that I get to keep my med box at home now! YAYAYAY! That means that I get to be medication independant everyday now! That is so HUGE for me. I will still get a visit from them everyday just to check on me but I will be on my own for my meds. That is a big step towards not being on the IMPACT program. I love the program but graduating from it would be a great thing.

My mom is in agreement with my case manager so woohoo! My only fear is what if I forget to take my meds and then end up with symptoms again? That would not be fun at all. I do not want to start hearing voices or seeing things. That would be HORRIBLE. The worst that could happen would be that I end up back in the psychiatric hospital because of the voices.

I am going to think positive and not think bad things. I think that would be a great plan!

I hope everyone is doing great today. I will continue to be praying for everyone and thinking great thoughts for all of you!

    Missy!

Congratulations on this wonderful achievement. What an accomplishment!

I am sorry you can't make it to TN but I understand the circumstances. Now I am chair-bound for three or four weeks to help by leg mend, ugh. This is when I will concentrating on my hand quilting, as I can't lower my leg to use the sewing machine.

    Oh well, where there's a will there's a way.

I am still having problems remembering my meds on time. My dh suggested I place them by my computer, as I use it more than any thing else in the house. I'm seriously considering it.

Are your meds in a divider by time? Set your computer clock on "calendar" to remind you to take them...it will beep you for the reminder. I think I'll do the same for myself...great idea!

I'm working today online, got to get back at it.

I used to have to take my meds in the morning afternoon and night time. Now I only have to take them in the morning and at night so I feel like I can do this. I can really reallly be independent on my meds. It has been many years since I have had the option of being independent. It just feels like I have reached a place of recovery and not symptom management. It has been more than three years since I was in the state hospital. I never ever want to go back. I think that because I feel so strongly about that that I will work very hard to take my meds as prescribed. It is surely a great motivator!

I hope you get through your chair-bound time. I was in a wheelchair for a couple years after I broke my leg. It was not fun at all. I will be thinking and praying for you while you recover!

    Love,

    Missy

OOOPS, Sent it twice by mistake

Missy: WHOO HOOO. Good job girl
Purplemem: I am praying your leg gets better sooner than 3 or 4 weeks. By the way, what does purplemem stand for? Just curious.

Haven't weighed in yet, it is my day off and I slept in and then jumped on the board to check with my lady friends.

    Hugs to you all

    Karen,
Purple is for my favorite color and the street I was raised on (Violet Avenue) and mem is for Memphis (my home town) so with my name I have identified my street name and location when I was a small child.

Thanks for the prayers, I believe I am alive today through the grace of God only.
