Oh MJ that first thought for the journal is a deep one! I'm not sure I have enough pages! LOL But you are SO right. I just started realizing this fact a few years ago and it has really helped me. I think so many people especially women are raised to be "NICE" at all costs and we spend so much time taking care of everyone else and being "NICE" to everyone, even people who are not "NICE" to us, that we lose ourselves and our happiness along the way.
Not to get dramatic here but my mom passed away at 54 when I was just 20 years old. They say everything happens for a reason. Well I could never find any reason I should lose my mom so young. She spent her whole life always taking care of everyone and doing without for herself. She died young and never got or did anything for herself and was still being taken for granted by everyone. It took me a long time but then I realized maybe the lesson I needed to learn from this is that you can love and take care of yourself without it making you selfish or a user. I am sure my mom must have been a very depressed person and she was overweight also. So sad, and I don't want to repeat it. And I know she wouldn't want me to! Well I hope that made sense to everyone I didn't mean for it to sound like a sad story. I just wanted to explain why I believe what MJ said is so true. I think depression has so much to do with weight issues, at least for me it does.

MJ I like your plan and I am going to try it, but does anyone ever worry about writing all of your thoughts down and having someone find it and read it? I know thats dumb but I do. LOL :)

Just going to lurk again this month. Got new dr. Who have good plans for me this month. Think we can do 15 to 20 lbs but don't need whites or neutrals, another board is doing yellows and golds, don't use much of them either, so will lurk for the support.
