My hearing is damaged from years of laying next to the stereo as a teenager and some bad sound systems at Neil Diamond concerts. I was talking on the to a friend about her preparations for a trip she and husby were going on. She said her husband still had to do rows of squash. I'm thinking to myself, why would they be planting veggies just before going on a 10 day trip? As the conversation went on, I realized she said, "loads of wash"! And this was 10 years ago!

I took some medication into a patient this morning and was giving it to him without a problem. His wife in the next bed though asked, "What are you doing with my husband?" After finishing up with him, I went near her bed and said a touch to loud (due to hard of hearing) "I am giving him his pill." She said, " What do you mean, copping a feel?"
