Default Just curious - what is your thermostat set at?

    Hi all

Just curious about what folks find comfortable. Hub and I like the temperature in our home set at 21 degrees Celsius (~ 70 F). Dear daughter's home is 22 C or 71.5 F. Dear son has his set at 18.7C or 65.6 F. (so cold in there )

My mom, at age 90 likes it warm! It's 25 C or 77 F at her place!

What is your favourite indoor winter temperature?

    Trish

Generally 68, I don't like it too warm and have the window open while I sleep. I love the fresh air. I wear layers though, because I'm always cold. Kind of weird, you'd think I'd want the thermostat higher but I don't.
I always have a fire going in our family room and it's so cozy.

64 during the day. 58 at night. I'm fine with this as long as I'm busy. I have a small down throw I sit under in the evening.

65, it goes down to 63 at night. I have oil heat, last year we had a cold for the coast winter and I went through $2500 of heating oil. I do have a couple oil filled radiators that I use to supplement the heat in specific rooms.

I also hang a curtain at the top of the basement stairs (exh took down the door years ago) and a blanket hangs across the opening to the family room in cold weather. It keeps the room warmer when I watch TV. The layout does not allow for a door there.
