That is absolutely beautiful...Looks very exotic and artistic. If you are not doing these as a sideline....please seriously consider it (think of all the fabric you can buy!).

I don't know about the UK, but here in Western Australia cake decorating seems to be a dying art. When my husband turned 60 earlier in the year it was really hard to find a suitable cake, seems mud cake and cup cakes are all the rage. I ended up going to the Cake Decorator's Association and found the Secretary was able to make one to my specs. She did an amazing job, she made the fruit cake (with walnuts), used marzipan and fondant. It was a huge success and I handed out a few of her cards, so hopefully it will put a bit more business her way.

Thanks so much for sharing....and don't forget to keep a "portfolio" of your cake designs...you never know where it might lead you.
