I L O V E Flying.... some say You either love it or hate it. But you won't know until you try it. It is safer than driving.... I don't trust other drivers so I stay way back from those in front of me and constantly look in my rearview mirror.

I prefer not to fly but when you live in the middle of the Pacific Ocean (and your child lives on the West Coast with your grandchild) you have no choice but to FLY. I don't think I could swim or surf it. LOL But we do fly into the biggest airport and then drive 300 miles to get to daughter's home. What can I say....I do feel for you. And flying's no easier when having to fly to Colorado for hubby's relative's things. :(

I'm 69 and won't even step on a plane. Most people think I'm afraid of crashing, nope afraid of FALLING. I would freak out the minute they locked the door to the steel prison, no thank you, which is why I never go anywhere :?

My DH was stationed in Europe for 13 years. I have no idea how many times I went back and forth. The first time is the worst because you don't know what is going to happen next. After a few times just tried to get a good seat and would be sleeping before we took off. More boring than anything. We came back to the US in 2001. That last time I went through Frankfort I was searched so roughly I asked the scary looking woman doing it if it was good for her? I'm not sure what she was gropping for, or if she understood me, I'm pretty sure she did, she just grunted and shoved me on my way.
Over the years I had some and seen some wierd stuff happen. Just got to roll with it.

I love to fly, I just don't like lay-overs. I hear it happens alot at DIA. I was stuck at DIA for 3 hours b4 we took off and got stuck in Mineapoles over nite. Not fun. I did get to see Denver at night all lit up---takes my breathe away.
