You will have so much fun! Are you getting a sit-on-top?
My husband and I have Malibu Mini-somethings ("X", maybe??) and we love them. We both were in our early 50's when we started. Unfortunately our nearby river, the Guadalupe is not flowing so no trips this summer. I'm seeing a neurosurgeon about some back issues and hope he fixes me so I can get back on the water next summer.

Last August dh and I learned how to use our new "eagle" (something) kayak. We had a canoe for years but started having trouble getting it on top of the car. This one is inflatable with little flanges that really help keep it going in one direction, and reduce tipping. We've had great fun over the years, some of it a bit dangerous and some of it very wet. But now we are "oldies" and we just tooled around in Lake Tahoe until we started feeling like we were in charge! Great exercise! Great fun!
