Ok....So I have a chance to take kickboxing/warrior x fit at my son's karate school. Since he is in the leardership program, the KB and WXF will be free. His instructor has been trying for a year now to get me to take these classes. I keep coming up with excuses. However, he has now said, "You lead by example" lol. The turkey lol Now, I can't come up with anymore excuses lol I am thinking about trying it on Thurday evening and I am a little nervous about it....

Anyway, is there anyone out there that is 40 something is/has taken Kickboxing/Warrior X Fit? I am 43 and not getting any younger

Gosh, I'd try in a heartbeat and I am 64! You will get a lot of limbering and stretching exercises to warm up. You will probably find it is a lot of fun!

just a thought... do you have any health issues that you may want to run by your health professional before taking the class?

I have taken these classes; not when I was over 40, but I have taken them.

They are a ton of fun and are actually quite useful. Several of my friends in the class were over 40 and they kicked my tail. :)

Go, have fun and listen to the cues from your body. Drink plenty of water and take Ibprofen when you get home. It is a blast!!!

Drink lots of water and no matter how hard the instructor pushes go at your own pace if you haven't been exercising on a regular basis. Modify any moves that force your body beyond what it is able to do.

I used to teach kick boxing classes they can be an absolute blast and trust me any frustrations from your day, your kids, your job you finally have something to take it out on, lol

And the next couple of days after you'll find muscle groups you forgot were there lol but its a good kind of ache though.

My classes now consist of aqua fitness classes, and yoga and in two weeks I'll be taking the first Zumba class. Have fun!

if you are have not been working out at all...then I would skip it and do something easier on the body, like water aerobics! after a few months you can ease into the WXF....it is NOT for the faint of heart...
