To answer two Nook questions....first the difference between Wi-fi only and the 3G/Wi-fi....with Wi-Fi only, you need to be someplace with wireless service...like McDonald's, Starbucks, etc. The 3G allows you to even be in your home with no wireless service around. It is much like using cell phone service. Nook 3G/Wi Fi is $200, Nook Wi-Fi only is $150. I live in the country so I am getting the $200 Nook. I have researched and played with the Nook belonging to a relative and I really liked it. And, as with most things...I don't think there really is too much difference between Nook and Kindle. So you probably wouldn't go wrong no matter which one you choose.

I just got the $139.00 Kindle and I love it. It's the Wi-Fi one. I just need to be near a Wi-Fi to download, but I can read on it anywhere. I have At&T UVerse for TV and Internet and AT&T helped me set my Kindle up to use the same Wi-Fi as my Uverse. I download books at home. I've read until 3 a.m. and had no eye strain problems. Also, Consumer Reports rated the Kindle as the best overall. I had no problem adjusting from a book. I like that I can use either hand to turn pages. I belong to a book discussion group 5 out of 7 of us have a Kindle and all of us like them.
