went to amazon site to see prices of e-books....I don't have an ereader so I was curious....some of those prices are rather high. I will just stick to buying books, new or used, or using my public library.......
I really can't justify buying one for myself...not yet anyway....not "hooked" on having to have e-things with me at all times.....

Amazon is coming out with a new Kindle Touch for 99.00 on Nov 15th. Check out amazon.com
I love my kindle which is only two months old but sorry I should have waited for the Kindle Touch which I think will be easier to turn the page. Oh well, maybe I will sell this one and buy the Kindle Touch. I love getting the free books that Amazon has the stories are great. I love mysteries and love stories and have had good luck with the free books. The kindle is great when you have to wait at the drs office or waiting at the beauty salon.

My daughter gave me a Kindle for Christmas a couple of years ago. It is one of my favorite things. You would love one. There are hundreds of free books on it, as well as ones you can buy at a discount. I download the ones I'm interested in, the read them at my convenience. Go for it!

Don't let anyone talk you in to an ipad. There is no tutorial for them. I tried Nook, Kendal and Robo and didn't think I liked any of them. My DH kept saying I needed an Ipad. Well, I have an ipad and hate the having to be near a wifi to get online to get books. I am learning to use it by trial and error. I hate it. Besides, I don't need all the things it is supposed to do. Nook and Kendal really have all the features that anyone would need. My local library doesn't have downloads for Nook and they just started Kendal after I got the ipad. I think it is the most useless $500 I ever spent. Would rather have had $500 worth of fabric!

I love my iPad. I would not buy it just for kindle. Understand that it is a computer. I use it instead of my desktop computer. Go on Internet, read my mail, shop, and write this. You can print, download, take pics, and do everything u do on your puter. Manual is online, just print out. Or read on line. U can make font as large as u want. Just want u to know I said why do I need it? I have computer? Now, u can't get it out of my hands. I am responding to u now on train going to visit my new great grandson!
