my mother had double knee replacements and took her a good 6 months to get back to normal
be sure to do your physical therapy like they tell you, as one of her friends refused to do her physical therapy and now is in a wheelchair and no longer can walk
take care of yourself

I had my right knee replaced 6/09 and I just ride a stationary bike. You are only 10 months, keep trying to bend it more even though it hurts. My Dr. told me it would take a year before it felt good and he was right. I can get down on my knees now without it hurting very much and it does feel so much better. I'll be praying for you.

Yes, I had a total knee replacement done on my left knee almost 1 year ago--will be a year on the 9th of this month. I spent 6 weeks in physical therapy going 3 days a week. It was the best thing I did for myself--the surgery I mean. Before I would go to work and have to walk with a stiff left leg cause my knee hurt so bad. Now I can walk all around the hospital where I work. But now my right knee is getting worse and will probably have it done in a year or so.
My surgeon was amazed at how well I got along after surgery as I am a large person--short but wide!! I had no complications at all.
And it makes a difference whether you are having a total replacement or a partial one. The partial is much easier to recover from.
