Very cute. I have some of the little Russian dolls - the wooden ones that "hide" 1 inside the other, gradually getting smaller & smaller inside each one. I did travel nursing in Sitka, Alaska, at one time home of capital of Russian America, so the Russian influence is everywhere there. Your dolls are darling - show us more sometime, please.

DH brought one back from Japan for me in January that he picked up on a business trip. (along with some handkerchiefs that will find their way into a quilt eventually ;-) ) Not near as cute as these though! Great find.

I am glad to learn about these dolls. I have two that were sent to me by my Japanese pen pal when I was in Junior High School. I always loved them and have kept them thru a lot of moves! They are a little beat up these days, but still on a shelf with my other accumulated treasures.

Gosh I have one of these. I went to Japan with my husband back in 88 and bought two of them, one for me and one for my daughter. We both still have them, I think they are so cute. Mine is red so it goes very well in my spare yellow bedroom.
