Thank you all so very much for commenting - it means alot. I signed my job offer letter yesterday and look forward to my new job Monday. I am passing on my thoughts, prayers and happy karma to everyone, no matter what your life holds in store for you and yours. Stay warm and happy quilting!

You are sooooo lucky. Here in NV I know people who have been laid off from their jobs for more than a year with no prospects in sight! Our unemployment rate is the highest in the U.S., and the bank foreclosures on homes is also the highest in the country. I thank God every day that so far my income is stable and pray that my son's business doesn't go under and my daughter in law's job doesn't go away. My son is hanging on by his fingernails and my daughter in law has taken a fifteen percent cut in pay, but she at least still has her job.
