    Cute - You mentioned that it is like a one sided Minky. I have a silly question for any and all, I have never sewn on Minky before, is there a special needle or thread that needs to be used when sewing with Minky fabric?

    I don't know about regular Minky (I made a mistake earlier, it's actually spelled Minkee), but for this I had to use a stretch needle. Singer 500s (aka Rocketeers) were designed before knits were popular for home sewing and can have trouble with them. Using the stretch needle (not ballpoint) and a walking foot really helped.
