Wel, today was a good day. After supper, which we didn"t have time to eat, we went to watch our 5 year old grandson play soccer. This is his first year. We parked next to a car, a little old lady was sitting there with her daughter. My little guy and his sister came running up to give me a big hug. That was such a nice greeting!! Well, they left and this little "old" lady leaned out her window and said," Are those your great grandchildren?" Now you have to know that for years I was told I looked too young to be a mother, too young to be a grandma, and today, I got this question! And here I was all cleaned up and I thought , looking pretty good. LOL Guess time finally caught up! The game ended well, Dylan scored three goals, I didn't fall out of my crazy folding chair cheering him on, and his team won. My ex DIL sat next to me, and I was civil( hard to do as she was the cause of the divorce), and came home and had a margaretia, read nice things on the QB, and now it is time for bed. See you all tomorrow. SLeep well.

Well you said this was an old lady, lets just say her eyesight is bad!!! Your picture here surely doesn't look like you are a Great Grandma!

LOL Been there. When my daughter was 5, I took her to a tap class and one of the other 5 year-old's looked at me and asked her if I was her grandma. Ouch!

She is most likely a great-gran and so she assumed you were too. Don't fret it.

The last two times we went on vacation with my sister and her family (she is 11 years younger than me and much more energetic) I got hackled about "MOM" not playing with the kids. Now I can laugh about it - so I KNOW how you feel.

Carol, you look stunning in your pic. Not even close to a great-gran.

Great soccer story! My daughter is 17 and is a senior in HS but I sure remember all those soccer games. I think I remember falling out of those ridiculous chairs a time or two as well.

    Take care and God Bless!

I lived next door to a woman who could be a great-grand at 42. She was a grand at 28!

When I was in my late forties a girl at Dairy Queen gave me a senior discount. I was devastated!
