I remember the first time I heard one, I was in the house with doors and windows closed, and the TV going, and I almost sensed rather than heard the howling. Went outside and it was coyotes. We live in the country so sometimes they are very close. Awesome sound!!

Sometimes I miss the sound of coyotes howling. I remember when I was a child they were everywhere.

If you leave them alone, they won't bother you, they're not aggressive.

When my dogs hear them they want to come inside NOW! They really don't like them.

We were in the hottub one night and there was a ring of them in the field next door whooping and hollering-talk about spooky!!! A little too close for comfort, non-agressive or not!!! We sometimes get a single in our yard around dusk.

they are aggressive and not afraid of people...I have them in my yard....they have their eyes on my three cats. That is why my cats are now in door cats unless we bring them out with a leash...

we're too close in I think to have to worry about them. I have heard them while camping.....absolutely beautiful sound. I'm thankful I don't have to deal with them though! Our pyr would never tolerate them being around...he does a great job of keeping other dogs away from our chickens.
