I lived in Arizona until I was 12 and I always wish I could move back there this time of year!

I'll trade you....I am sick of blue sky, drought, trying to keep my plants alive and fretting about bush fires.

sounds good to me. the gov. pays for a lot of stuff. and our sanity should be first :D all I have to do is get the feds to look at my sewing room and they'ed know I was crazy,(inlove with fabric) But my luck the govt would send P. Walsh and boy would I be in trouble, He'd have to pry every scrap out of my cold dead hands

There is a quilting cruise next February Hubby and I plan on going. Make up for the lousy year last year and since my mom just died yesterday this year isn't the greatest either...can only get better ...The cruise is 10 days of quilting and 4 days of touring hawaii and a quick stop for a few hours in Mexico and very resonable only 2300 for us quilters and cheaper for hubby.

Sorry to hear about your Mom.....hugs & prayers......maybe thinking about a memory quilt would lessen some of the pain....I'm working on one right now, just lost very good friend in January. Enjoy your cruise, will be thinking of you with all the warm weather as we freeze back here..

    How about...
Cook up some hamburgers and hot dogs, get a fondue going if you can and make some s'mores. Spread a picnic blanket in the midst of your living room, take out your paper plates, plastic forks, serve the hamburgers and hot dogs on a bun, then crank up the radio with some oldies songs - maybe the Beach Boys if you have it.
Voila - let the snow come and wind howl, you're warm in your own picnic oasis.
