As others have said - we did not hear her tone of voice or see how she behaved -
But - if she asked nicely - and was offering to BUY - you could nicely say - Sure
or nicely say - no, I'm not making any more of "whatever' right now - no need to add any more to that
In my opinion - if I see something I like, but not in my color - my feeling is - Ask - I might get what I want!

It would depend on how she asked. We ran into that when we made the microwave bowls thingies and snap bags as a fundraiser. All those who made the requests were very sweet about it, and are regular "over-"contributors to our fundraisers. They were trying to match their decor, which is understandable, or wanted them for gifts. Several even offered extra to buy the fabric pattern they were reqesting, in addition to the sell-price, which was great because we had made what we made from my stash, and it depleted rapidly.

It's a compliment to your work. She obviously like what she saw.
In the future be prepared and have blank receipts with you so you can write up a contract. Most definitely get that non-refundable deposit. Shows intent on the customer's part and professionalism on yours.

I don't understand why its considered pushy to ask. If you didn't want to you could have just told her you didn't have time, or offered to give her instructions on how to make it herself. Its hard to know what people will like and some people feel honored to be asked. It shows they did a good enough job that somebody actually wants what they made.
