Sweetest sound in the world is my grandkids running through the front door calling "Where's Grandma?" and the big hugs we share. They are 3 and 5 and the light of my life. In seven weeks they are moving 800 miles away...so I'm have to spend as much time with them as possible now.

Sitting with my hubby in the morning as we share the early paper and a cup of coffee...and HE makes the coffee!

Get a camera on your computer and skype -- my DGS don't live that far away but we "talk" via skype once a week and the 2 1/2 year old gets so excited when he sees us. Now quite as nice as being with them, but it is a day brightener.

DH was looking just today at what we'll need to do to set up a Skype account. I'll do whatever it takes to remain a part of their lives. We'll be going to to visit in September. One good thing is they are moving to Lancaster County, Pa., so there will be lots of quilt shops to visit when we go.

Sitting out in our garden in the sun (which is a real treat here in England!) and doing my hand applique, listening to the birds and all the outdoor noises. I first remember enjoying this when I was about 10 yars old, and sewing scraps for my dolls. Didn't realise I was quilting then of course.

Hearing the cardinals singing when I let my dog out in the morning.

Having the skittery stray cat (that I think is now adopted) beg to be petted.
