Location in Hiding
#11
Our youngest daughter was stalked. The police put a scare into the guy and as far as we know he has backed off. She has moved several times but people still find her. Privacy is so important these days. It isn't the same world of the 50's and 60's. Guard your privacy. 8-)

And if you don't fill it in in your profile it will automatically put "in hiding"
There also may be some who don't want the info showing for some of the other identity reasons stated.
I don't know if after the game peeps put their location back in or not.

The last place anyone would look for me would be on a Quilting Board. My sister commented the other day that she could not believe she was looking for me in a fabric store! My sewing has always been the family joke. But I'll show 'em all when my first project is finished!

There is not much privacy anymore; if people want to find you they can. Nothing on internet or on phones or in the public is private in today's world.
It is not horse and buggy days when you knew your neighbor and all the kinfolk lived nearby. When I was in HS, they said they average family moved seven times a year and that was way back in 1960. By 1962, majority of college kids was from a broken home...of divorced parents. Single parents rearing children was the norm in schools where I taught.
Progress. I prefer the old fashioned world of neighbors helping neighbors when there is need and that is why we live where we do in retirement. Old fashioned word of "God's country" is where we abide. Not neccessary to "hide", nor to tell everything you know 'cause the party line of gossip is far ahead of the newspapers!!
Each to his or her own on what they feel comfortable with is fine with me. If they are over 21, its OK folks to abide where you wish and tell what you wish too. On QB, we can sent private messages without going "public" and that makes this board the greatest of all, in my opinion.
