What cruise line were you on. We usually cruise RC. Looking for Hawaiian cruise. Royal Caribean does not offer one.

I can't imagine 28 days on a cruise but I would like to take a 7-day cruise to Alaskan waters. I look forward to seeing what you do with the Hawaiian fabric.

Lynnie, you must have had expensive newspaper and tv guide costs ..... mine was $75 a month and it would take more than 18 mos. to save up for a cruise. I gave them up when I was no longer working and, while it took a while to get used to living without them, I find it bearable only because I have the internet. Does that make me a news junky?

Great trip! Congrats! I am doing a trans-Atlantic in May. I WILL be taking some hand work to keep me busy for the 5 days at sea.

28 days, how wonderful! I'm so glad you had a good time. We are leaving on a 7-day carribean cruise on Saturday. It's a family reunion with my husband's family. I am looking forward to it, but I don't to hand work and I'm going to miss sewing so much. I wasn't able to find a quilt shop in Miami, or in the town that we are going to after the cruise. Next time we go on vacation, that's going to be my first criteria!

So glad you had a great cruise, I took the 11 day cruise from Mexico to Hawaii and around the Islands. Now I get terribly seasick. My friends go on 3 cruises a year and he takes his bike to ride around the areas they stop in. Yes, take your sewing machine if you want, but a cruise is to rest and relax.

Sounds like you had a good time.
Jingle, I agree with you no water trips for me, I have a fear of drowning , I like the solid earth under my feet.

I hope you had a great time! I wonder if it's the same cruise my cousin was on? Their ship left LA on October 19.

I would love to do something like that but I couldn't leave my poor dog that long. It is hard enough (for me) just leaving him for a week at Christmas.

We did an 18 day cruise to the Islands. Came across a lot of discounted fabrics that were a wonderful quilt quality at very reasonable prices. A lot less than here in the states. Sounds like you had a fun time shopping.
