I started watching The Travelers on Netflix. It's great. Good actors and the plot line is very good. Sherlock, Midsomer Murders, Murdoch Mysteries, Call the Midwife, When Calls the Heart, Doc Martin and so many more. If you go to Netflix online it's easier to browse all the shows and movies and add them to you watch list. Your watch list will show up on the tv.
Netflix produces a lot of original series and they are very good. Also Acorn TV is all British shows. Worth every cent of the $6 monthly cost. I use Roku to bring in the channels on our tv. Between Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Acorn I seldom watch our cable channels. DH thinks he has to have the sports so we still have cable. Lots of free channels available. PBS has many of their shows and series on their channel.

I love Netflix and rarely watch network now. When we do, it's only those recorded on Tivo so we can fast-forward through the commercials. I've been binging on House of Cards in preparation for the release of season 5. Love that series. Also, if you haven't watched The Finest Hours, a movie, do yourself a favor and give it a look. It's set in 1952, based on a true story, and has wonderful actors. It's about a Coast Guard rescue so there's plenty of action but also suspense and a touch of romance.

Roku is so inexpensive, sold at Walmart. All you need is wi fi. ( If you have internet you buy a router and you have wi fi. ) We have the sticks on most of the tvs but I have the box on the bigger tv. You can move the sticks from one tv to the other. The newer versions of Roku download fast and no buffering. I buy a new stick every couple of years. Also the remote for the Roku can be downloaded on any smart phone for free. That has come in handy when the remote gets lost for awhile.
