I love the baby deer!
We have a family that comes through our yard. My female bostons decided one day to take on Mama-not such a smart move. I did not see her and I was bringing them inside from their run (only they decided to run in the opposite direction of the door) My heart was in my throat because mama reared up and started coming down on them-I thought for sure they were goners! Finally they came when I called them and the deer started to follow. I thought I was going to have to jump in to the dog run to save myself!
Luckily no one was harmed-the deer, the dogs or me lol
Hugs

That reminds me of one time when my husband and I went on a hiking weekend in Virginia, along Skyline Drive. We came down from a trail and a fawn was in the parking lot close to our car. It came right up to us. I was hesitant to get too friendly with it for fear its Mom was nearby. Well, I opened the car door to get a drink and the cute little thing tried to jump in the back seat. A few miles down the road we found a park ranger and told him about it. He said it had been around for a couple days. He thought maybe the mother had gotten hit by a car or something. He was going to try to relocate it to a safer place.

Momma didn't come out but I am sure she wasn't far away, He is probably 2 months old as they are born late May early June here. It was so cute to see him so close. I went downstairs and could still see him but he had moved up into the yard more so couldn't get a clear picture.
