I worked at Lowes and these are the SAME snips....you just can't find them in the fabric stores much any more..and these are actually made to take the thicker cuts! and also like the grip handles better!

I had a pair of these that I used so much I wore them out! They are a really great pair of scissors to have for all kinds of quick cutting jobs and much easier on the hands because of the spring. I am going to go out an get myself another pair.
