    You tube! It is an 8-pointed star and I think it's called the "no-sew quilted Christmas ornament."

    The YouTube video is very clear.

    If you go to the tutorial archive link in tutorials, there is one done by chamby. It is #300 and the title is...how to put quilted ball ornaments together.

    Actually it's now #301 - every time someone adds a tutorial, it becomes #1 and knocks all the others down a number. A tutorial doesn't keep the same number all the time in the archives, but at least it will give you a place to start and you can just scroll down and find it by the title.

    Thanks for the update. I thought because it was in the Archive section that those numbers stayed the same. Opps!

    I make them every few years and give them out to friends. I made a bunch of them a few years ago for an ornament swap. I enjoy them and they are easy to make.

    I think that this is what you are looking for;
    http://crafterwithoutacat.blogspot.c...-tutorial.html

    I use 2 inch florists ribbon and you have much less problem with stray threads. Also use 3/4 inch sequin pins as they will hold well and not cause the ball to come apart from all the pins.

    If you look for quilted ball Ornaments online, there are other tutes availiable also.

    Have fun..
