Default Looking for full coverage plastic covers for mattresses

I just bought a nice, trundle bed to go out on our covered, back porch. My husband is starting to enclose the porch with windows and screen, but that may take awhile. I'm worried about moisture (and critters) damaging the 2 mattresses while out there in the elements. I don't want to put the beds into storage...it's summer and we want to enjoy them. I bought some mattress pads, but they don't cover the undersides of the mattresses, just the tops and sides. Has anyone seen covers that completely enclose a mattress?

    Thanks!

    ~ C

You can buy mattress bags that are meant to be used when moving. They will completely enclose the mattresses.

Yes, I have gotten them at Walmart, other store types like them may have them also. You put the mattress in like a pillowcase and zip it up.

I got them a number of years ago (WalMart or any big box store) when the dr suggested it because of allergies. I was amazed at what I could wipe off those coverings when changing the bedding, even though they were covered by a mattress pad and usual bed linens.

I got some from Ace Hardware. They were expensive, but had zippers to close.

Thanks everyone! I looked on Wlamart's site, but didn't see them. I'll go back and look again. Maybe use the search term, "mattress bag," this time.

Try using the term "mattress protector" in your search on the WalMart site. Several came up for me.
