Default Looking for opinions about sergers

My baby lock evolve serger has a bladder that pushes air to thread through loopers. I know the machine is old, but the bladder dries out and the last time I took it in for replacement, I was told they were difficult to find. So, I'm asking for suggestions about any of the new models and/ or brands.
    Thanks in advance!

do you quilt with serger? I tried it and had a hard time but it is great for clothing. I have a white it is about 10 years old and still works great.

I think the Baby Lock brand is still considered the best serger brand on the market. Which model depends on desired features and your pocketbook. Since you are used to air threading, that is a feature I'm sure you would not want to live without. Sort of like getting used to a sewing machine with needle-down capability; not something you want to live without once you are accustomed to having it!

I bought my White serger before 1990, so no air threading. It still works well until I try to use it on very thick things. Then it goes out of timing if I go too fast. (I always want to go fast.) The right needle thread catches on something and the only way to fix that is to cut that thread and re-thread it.
Last week I serged around a bathroom rug that was "loosing it" around the edges. That worked very well. Then I turned that edge over and made a zig-zag stitch around the edge. Looks good and should last a a bit longer.

I have an older Bernina serger that has served me very well. I've never had a problem with it and it's works great.

I have a Brother 1034D. It is very basic but not a problem to thread. I watched a video tutorial and learned a few easy hints. I made one doll quilt with it but mostly I use it for rolled hems and the few clothes I make
