Well, the major announcement was that they are eliminating over 8500 "middle management" and "executive" jobs. My sister works for the post office...they were sweating it until they found out it's the managers, not the real workers!!

My mother works in middle management at the PO. :) They retained her office/position and gave her a broader scope of responsibilities. However, in 2 years that is all up for review again and there will be further layoffs/closures if needed. She’s been there for about 15 years, and hasn’t had a pay raise or contract renewed in over 5 years.
