    Mama's in love. She's so tired. Now you'll be able to watch the baby learn how to use its legs. That will be fun.

    There's lots to do still--the mare needs dewormer... and pain killer--looks like Jen is doing that now.

    The baby needs to have its cord dipped. The cord still hasn't broken yet--which is good. Jen has to make sure the fily pees, poops, and nurses. I was usually in the barn 3-4 hours after each foaling. Important stuff. Stall has to be cleaned--afterbirth saved to make sure it's all there. Well--I always had the vet check it, but I bet these gals know how to do that.

    I love watching Jen--she's so calm and gentle.

    Looks like she's going to tie the cord. I always kneaded it at the weak spot.
