Thanks for your concern. I see my doctor every month because of my diabetes, lung issues, chronic kidney disease, and congestive heart failure. We monitor my weight daily. If these pounds don't drop by the end of the week (down to the 260-263 area, I will go to the hospital, etc.) I've already been to the hospital 16 times this year, so it is not my fav place.
Missy, I am so PROUD of you! you Go, Girl!
Hang in there, the hot days are ahead.
Today was 94 degrees here. Yuck!

It's late here but just wanted to check in and say hello to all. Had a really nice Mothers Day. Both of our kids called and we talked for a long time.
DH said it would be to packed at any eating place we might go so did I mind going Monday. Sounded good to me so yesterday we had a nice dinner together. I was good, had a salad, dressing on the side a steak and baked potato that I took only a couple of bits of. Today had a potluck at quilt class and did over do there but eat lite all day so not to bad.
The scales will tell the tale tomorrow. Have a wonderful Wed. and to all a good night.

I am doing a happy dance. i got on the scale and was down 1.5 pounds. Makes it seem like I CAN make it. I THINK I put one of the "tickers" in my signature then I think I changed it to the start weight not for the month but when I started. I hope that is OK??? I wanted to say it because I did not want anyone thinking I am loosing that much in a month!!!
If I didn't change it I want to if that is OK??
I am not making any sense so I best quit!

Oh OMG it did change. That is soooooo cool!!! I do love that sight!!! Thanks to whom ever recommended it (I forget) everyone should try it. It does take a bit of your time to put the information in but it also helps you stay on track. At least it does me!!!

Good Morning All!
Summer has suddenly hit! I refuse to complain about the heat, but I will complain about the humidity. It's at 81% right now! I can't breathe outside. Seriously messing up my exercise schedule if I can't go for my morning walk. I guess I'll have to substitute indoor exercise until the humidity calms down.
I mowed yesterday with the humidity at 65% and felt sick all night. Normally I love mowing, (I know, weird) and consider it a good form of exercise. I have the largest yard in a 2 block radius and I'm the only one that still mows with a push mower. Yesterday, I had to keep taking breaks to cool off. ugh
So, I guess I have to motivate myself to using the dreaded elliptical. (I just hate staring at the same walls the entire time I'm "walking".
I'm finally on task on my water intake, exercise is pretty much under control....no for the hard part.....eating right. I do good until night when I just have to grab that handful of jellybeans or that cookie. Maybe when the girls are here, I'll give them permission to smack that stuff out of my hand?

MJ, hope you are doing better today.
We have cloudy skies today that look like it could rain anytime. Bring it!!!!!
Deedee, I think your girls would love being the food police with you.
Well, off to wash the new fabric I bought today for the bargello I am trying to begin.
Have a great evening.

Hey folks! I went out of town early this morning and just returned. I am bushed! The heat has wiped me out!
I even went to JoAnn's today (a very rare thing) and did not buy anything because I couldn't breathe or stand.
I'm doing better now.
Will catch up later,
Hugs,
MJ

Well, I weighed this morning & lost 2 lbs this week! Yippee! That gives me more motivation than anything!
Someone on this thread wrote about making sure they had breakfast every morning within an hour of waking up weather they wanted to or not. I have been trying to follow that advise because breakfast is my least favorite meal. I am just not hungry in the morning. I do know that I should eat before I get hungry so I have been doing the breakfast thing.
MJ- I hope you are getting better!
