Yesterday I had a fellow board member over for our first meeting in person! We had a great time just chatting, we never ran out of anything to say.
We got together through one of the other threads here, about listing where we live.
I set up a second machine and helped her learn how to make mitered corners on her borders. She had brought a show and tell so she now one corner finished to take home with her.
Sue, it was great meeting you and can't wait until we get together again.
Yes, we are planning on meeting again.

Yay! How fun. Funky Monkey comes over here and we sew together about once a week.

What a great idea. I wish I had people close to me that I could get together with that were quilters. Online is the only quilty contact I have. I'm visually impaired and I don't drive and I'm not that familiar with my area as I'm not a native here. I've always yearned for the comroderie (sp) of others. I guess I will just resign myself to being a loner for now. One day I will meet another quilter in person, one day.

Sounds like you had a great time! :) :) :)

I am meeting 2 board members the end of the month at my house, one of which is my quilting mentor! She has been so much help to me. We met online when she adopted me on the newbie challenge.

The the beginning of July I am meeting another board member at her home.

It's nice to put a face to the name!

Hope you continually meet and have quilting parties!
