Meeting Fellow Board Members Would you be interested!
Hi,
I thought I would start this thread so we can post a little about ourselves (Do not put your address) as you can send others private messages to share your personal information. Just say like what state you are from and can also be in your profile.
I have met lots of new friends that lives close by. You can go to the User List and search by location by state etc. Have fun!
You might find someone that lives close by and never knew it. I have and lots of fun!

Indiana, USA
Hi,
I live in Indiana, about 1 hour north of Indianapolis and would love to meet other quilt board members. We could always meet at a quilt shop and out for lunch.
Also would be fun to set up sew days or retreats in our areas to have lots of fun with other quilters!
I am Karen, age 53, married, no kids but we have a spoiled dog. I have joined 2 quilt guilds. It is fun to meet other quilters and sew together.
I consider myself a beginner quilter but have made a few items so far.
1. Eleanor Burns Lovers Knot lap quilt (stitching in the ditch so hopefully I can get this lap quilt finished soon)
2. Paper Piecing Blocks
3. Hexagons (quilt patis) all by hand and covered a cute pin cushion
4. Tube Quilt Table Runner (entered it in a Quilt show in May 2010)
5. Reversible Table Runner
6. John Deere placemats, coasters and potholders
7. working on a kids Downy quilt
8. Disappearing 9 patch top (just need to buy backing and battng)

Hi,
I feel like most people know me somehow.
I'm QuiltingGrannie. Wanted to be QuiltingGranny, but it was taken at the time, so being a little different anyway, I just changed the spelling.
I live in the oldest town in TN (Jonesborough, and love it. I am originally from PA. Was born near a lake and miss the water but love the mountains here.
My real name is Phyllis, I'll be 54 at the end of the month (26th).
I am married, have two children and 3 step children, and 6 grandchildren. (We are not in touch with 2 of the step kids nor 3 of the grandkids. Wish we were)
I work at WM in the fabric/craft dept. I got into quilting through a co-worker who said I 'could' quilt. So I tried. Now I'm hooked.
My first real quilt was my own design using fuzzy cuts and photos, for my grandson.
I tend to look at quilt patterns and change them just a bit to make them my own.
I also make miniature storage cabinets, check book covers, Bible covers, pin cushions and other creative things as I come up with them.
I love being on here and have learned a lot and know if I have any questions you all are here to help.
Thanks for all your friendships.

Hi, my name is Carol, I'm 71( ouch!!) I have three grown children and 5 grandkids. All live within 20 minutes of me. I live in Lexington, KY. I haven't done a lot of quilting, usually I did more apparel sewing. In the last years , not much of that. I'm spending a lot of time here and trying to learn the new technics of cutting and piecing. I do want to make baby quilts to put back for great grandchildren when they come. I know that I can't handle making anything very large anymore, too many "old Age" problems. Make that 4 kids, daughter, 56, sons 53,42 and 40.!!

I am Theresa, I am 41, have 2 sons, 14 & 11, and we live with thier dad between Toronto, and Hamilton, ON.
The boys grandmother was a huge quilter, and when she died I got her "stuff" but never picked up on it until about 18 months ago. I've been sewing since I was about 11.
We store our camper in Niagara On The Lake,ON but the closest camping is near Niagara Falls,NY so we are in the US almost every weekend, and travel back and forth a lot in the winter.
I would be interested in meeting anyone in either the Toronto area, or Buffalo areas, even with the border crossings it is sometimes fast to get to Niagara Falls/Buffalo than it is to get across Toronto.
My best friend lives in Houston, and I am hoping to travel down to the quilt show in the fall, so I would also be interested in getting together there as well.

My name is Crystle and I live in Port Washington, WI. Just north of Milwaukee. My husband and I live with my step daughter now 19. My husbands grandmother gave me my first quilt and it got me interested.
I don't have as much time as I would like, but slowley and surely I am getting the extra room all to myself.
I will start a new job after working for the same company for 16 years. Oh, and I am 35 this month.
This is fun!
