You will love it. My massage therapist has wanted to learn to quilt. Yesterday we spent the day with her putting a Jelly Roll Race quilt together. She has been sewing clothing items for her grandchildren but fell in love with quilting. I think I have a new quilting buddy. Will introduce her to QB for sure!

Lucky you. I've lived in this little town for 5 years and have only found 2 that quilt but both still work and they seem to only contact me when they need something from me. I'm now trying to teach a gent in my congregation how to make a quilt top but he lives 25 miles away and seems to have cooled on the idea of learning lately. Thank goodness I don't mind my own company. Just turn the IPOD on loud and go my merry way with whatever I'm working on at the time. Have enough projects to keep me busy for the entire year.

i'm hoping she gets into it. she does work and has a big disposable income, compared to me with my mere disability pittance. we'll see, hopefully shes into it.

That is great! I hope you have wonderful times making friends and beautiful quilts. Good neighbors are a gift to treasure and when they are a quilter that is a bonus!

Lynnie, your neighbor has no idea what a treasure she has found in you. I've only PM'd you a few times about making hexies and you have been so informative and patient. I can't imagine how much fun it would be to have you in-person showing and sharing your talents and enthusiasm! ! She is one lucky lady!

You are fortunate to have someone move in so close. My quilting buddy moved to AZ, we get together when she comes to visit her family, sure wish she still lived in town.

I agree. I wish there was at least one quilter where I live. Only knitters.
