I had 26 years ago my Moms mink jacket which was way to small for me, so I had it made into a bear, put glasses on it (Mom wore glasses) and the lining which had her name embroidied on it put on the sole of the bear. it's just wonderful. Than I did the same thing with her fake fur long coat and gave one to my brother and one for my daughter who was the apple of my MOms eye, for Xmas. They were sooo happy with them. It is a wonderful idea to do these special things. Love your bears too!!!!!!

I help out at Hospice a couple of times a year making terddybears for those who have lost a loved one. They have a workshop to cut out the bears from an article of the loved ones clothing and then a week later, a workshop to sew and stuff the bears. Each one turns out so adorable! A friend lost a young son a week before he was to be married and she started the workshops.
