Just this year I turned 51
a whole new chapter has just begun
I opened a gift and what did I see
a bag of depends, staring at me
bottle of clairol to cover up the grey
bags of wipies to save the day
a pair of tweezers to pluck a stray hair
and for all the rest a bottle of nair
a pair of readers to perch on my nose
newly designed clippers made just for toes
Tums and rolaids to cure my burn
this from my brother, next years his turn
preperation H, in pads and a tube
pills for hot flashes and personal lube
cute little stockings for my purple veins
some kind of pills meant to keep me sane
my kids are all laughing tears running so free
they had so much fun on this shopping spree
I gave them a list, for next year's 52
lip wax, wrinkle cream, to name just a few
They looked at the list and right back at me
I was laughing so hard, my eyes filled with glee
You see, if your smart and work this just right....
you can have all your needs met when the budget gets tight!
