    I love my GE also. It's a countertop type, 13 years old, and in use every day. That equals 6 years since we are gone half of the year!

    Take the largest bowl you use in the microwave with you (or at least the measurements). That way you'll know your favorite will work.

    I figure the fewer the bells and whistles, the longer it could last. Fewer things to go wrong.

    Good point about getting one that allows 50%, etc. I definitely want that feature.

    Hm, do you dislike the 1100 because it's too much for your circuit? Or is there another reason? I'll have to check with the property manager about the circuits here.

    Yes, I will definitely check Consumer Reports.

    GE and Kenmore are both brands I'd trust. Good to know people are satisfied with them. For the life of me, I cannot remember which brands I had in my last few apartments.

    Very interesting about the pizza maker microwave. That's a whole level I hadn't thought about.
