The 'backpacks' are actually a purse pattern called Chelsea. It is a larger bag that is quilted. Inside there are pockets all around the inside. There is only 1 pocket on the front with a little pocket flap over it. I found some toggle fasteners so I made a tap and put them on the inside to clip keys on. I also made a make-up/pencil/scissors pouch that clips onto the toggle too.

The unique thing about these is you pput a zipper into the strap. Zip it up and it is a shoulder bag. Unzip it and the straps are long enough to wear backpack style. Each piece is made of a different, but coordinating fabric. I would post a picture, but my camera needs a new memory card.

I've been checking out the Farmer's Wife Sampler Quilt and would love to join in but I really have more than enough to keep me busy. I'm working on a quilt for a neighbor who just moved to another house and I have a PP wall hanging with flowers and a hummingbird in the planing stages that I would love to get done by her birthday in early Sept. and then the time for Christmas gifts is approaching and since I am fairly new to quilting it takes me longer to get things done (sigh)
Well it's almost 1:30 so I should get myself off to bed. Hope my eyes will stay closed. Maybe I can plan DD quilt in my head.
    Nite all

Sleep is a very hard thing for me. Pain? yes! I have nerve pain in my toes. Sometimes I swear I would be better off tearing off my toenails. It feels like pressure is building under the toenail, but there is no signs of that. I have kidney failure and have dialysis at 5:00am Three days a week. I stay up all night so I can sleep during some of it. Then I don't get much sleep there because of the noise and I sleep during the day. Then I am not tired the next night. Vicious circle, but if I sleep before dialysisI am so anxious that there is no wayI can tolerate sitting in uncomfortable chairs for sooooooo long, and I end up going against medical advice and get off early--- not good!

Aunt Retta: I'm so sorry you have gotten yourself into this vicious cycle. The times I have gone with people for dialysis the chairs for the patients are usually big recliners. Is there a different dialysis center you could go to close by?

I live in Brigham City, a bit north of Salt Lake City.

I don't live in West Jordan, but we ought to get all the Utah quilters together for lunch or something. Perhaps a quilting bee weekend in...around the middle of the state. Moab? or American Fork...where would be a good location. I know, here in Brigham, no that is too far north. We shall see...
