Wow! So many of you share my problem or have one that is similar! I said a little prayer for all of you! I'm told my prob is temporary, but its been 6 weeks now. Oh guess I should tell you what prob I have...lol. My doc said that I have swelling in my back which is pressing on the sciatic nerve. Now she is having some doubt since it hasn't gotten any better. I go for a MRI on Aug. 30th. Anyway there is so much pain in my lower back, and all down my left leg, that I can't sleep for more than a couple of hours at a time.
I love this site! All of you ladies are so sweet! I sure hope you all find some relief for your pain!
    hugs

I fell asleep watching football game right after it started at 7 p.m. EDT; woke up at 12:45 a.m., took the Boston's out and then put them to bed. DH was already fast asleep in bed; I tried laying down in bed for 1/2 hr, but was wide awake so up I got and have been on the board ever since. It's now 5:55 and I'm getting sleepy again. I'll go lay down again now and see if I can drift off. Niteynite to all. Jinnie

My medication didn't really work last night so here I am. No sleep and the whole day ahead. I've been doing tons of sewing. Even did some doll stuff. I haven't been able to work on my dolls since Randy (husband) died in April.

I managed to cut and dress 2 of them yesterday. Today I hair day. I get to make wigs. I'll post pictures on my personal journal later.

I guess since the sun is up I need to get going on the day. Have a great day, Gwyn

Hi there Craftybear it's only 10.53 Sunday night and I have a back pain that I need to get to bed with. I will only star at the ceiling but just can't fight the pain anymore.
    Off to bed.

I read this site everyday and did not know this topic was here.

It is almost 02:00am on Monday and I am still awake from Sunday morning.

I have always watched the sun rise and right now the moon is staring at me. My clock just switched a few months ago and I don't know why.

    Anyway Hello everybody,

Thanks Crafybear I have been in and out of bed most of the day and it is some better as long as i stay quite and don't stand to long or sit to long. I could feel it coming on a couple days ago but not to much I can do but get through it. I feel really lucky because it could be so much worse. How is everything with you and your DH?

steroid shots keep me awake too - sooo i requested a prescription for sleeping pills and only take them when i have to. since i still work i can't afford to be up all night. i'm having pain in my hip which dr says may be degenerative problems PLUS i have a pinched nerve somewhere that causes my left leg to go numb below the knee. that's the part of getting old i don't enjoy.

Gail: Do you have a chronic condition like MS? I had an old friend who could feel her symptoms coming back. She would always take off to her mother's house with her kids so she wouldn't have the worst part at home alone with her children. I thought it odd her husband didn't take care of her and the kids, but stayed home and went to work. Then again, someone had to pay bills.

    Hope tonight goes better. Gwyn
