It is hard for me to read about peoples pain, and not being able to afford to go the Dr. We have universal health care here, and yes, we have waiting lists to see specialists, but you do get care. And it is low cost or free, depending on the Dr.
I used to work mostly in drug and alcohol, so I am interested in pain management.
Some of the things we found useful were Tension Tamer Tea - made in the USA, self hypnosis, relaxation and talking to the pain.
If anyone is interested in these techniques, PM me and I will try to explain them more clearly, and provide links.
    Take care

I'm here! I have been trying to choose fabrics for another Trip around the world keychain. The fabrics I thought I had aren't there. So I guess i will have to change my color scheme! Oh well...

I am just so tired of all the rain and storms aren't you? Our ground is so soggy. I would be happy to have some decent weather. It is either too hot and humid or it is storming. Can't win lately! Oh well I don't get out alot so it is good weather to sew! Stay inside in my AC and quilt!

I'm a night owl... but come mid august, I'm going to make an effort to get on a normal sleep schedule... like... in bed by 10 up at 6. I want to get myself ready for school... since my classes mwf start at 8 am. And I need to be moving by 630 7 am to be sure I have ample time to get coffee and breakfast...

But, like tonight, I'll be doing the backed up dishes, due to the heat of the summer... I do them at night, or very early in the morning... cause our kitchen is like an oven.

I'm usually just writing... or searchign random things that most other people don't care about...

It's interesting to see how many people are up late at night. I'm a night owl. I get more done in the afternoon and night. Even drive better. I too have pain, but don't always talk about it. MS is not curable and I'm learning how to deal with all of the symptoms that come along with it. I've been off work on medical leave for over a month and the financial stress is what impacts my health more than the physical barriers.

I wanted to have my nights open, so I went for morning afternoon classes.

Plus, I am going to see about getting into an exercise routine when school starts, since I can use the gym for free.

Well, night owls, I'm another one. I just can't sleep, partially due to the depression I have been dealing with, partially do to its the only time I can get anything done. I am raising my 3 1/2 yo grandson as my own and he is all energy. Really tries to help me sew and clean and everything else. He goes to bed about 8pm and then I can finally either cut out patterns - clothes for myself- or work on various quilts I have in various stages. I also serve a lot at night as I can concentrate without a kid screaming in my ear or the phone ringing off the hook. Nice to know there are more out there!
