This reminds me so much of the flowers my momn had around our house when I was growing up. She called them Angel Bells. They only open at night and close during the day.

    Are they the same flower????

Go out at dark or really close to and see if you have the little moths that look like humming birds! First time I saw them I was totally amazed and I do love the moonflowers, I always forget to plant them!

I bet they are. There are some others that do that like 4 O'clocks but they are really small flowers on a stalk.

The seeds should be readily available in places that sell seeds like Walmart, Home Depot, Lowes. Just make sure you read the directions as you have to take a nail file and scratch up the seed a bit before planting to assist with the germination process.

My wonderful MIL had moonflowers in her yard as long as she was able to garden. We all loved them. It was wonderful pulling up into the yard at night and seeing those beautiful white flowers in bloom.

That is a beautiful flower and they do smell sweet,b where we live in Oklahoma they are among the against the law. It seems the kids have found a way to get high on them. So you might check before planting them.
