    I can only echo everyone else with how great your bowls are. The serged edge is genius and the embellishments are so creative.

    Many thanks to all of you for the encouraging words. I can't claim the serging idea as my original idea. I go the idea from reading an article about a mother and son sewing duo on America Sews and I prefer the finish to leaving the edges raw. I get in a mess unless I wrap the whole rope first,which takes an evening to do. It then takes me about half an hour to sew it and another evening to do some of the embellishments. I almost enjoy doing them as much as making my quilts.
