Breathtaking! Do you have a pattern or is this all freethinking work? I have made a few and know that the zig--zag holds the cords together but how do you do the vertical "edge-looking" seams? Beautiful!

The bowls are beautiful! Do you have a pattern for them? Beaty9 mentioned a book. Do you have any more information?

Amazing bowls! I have bought the clothesline, have the directions, saw America Sews a few times -but have never made one. . You give me inspiration. I love the embellishments you did on them. Great job!

A few people are using some of them for hats. I actually put brims on them as well. The book I began with was It's a Wrap and I put my own changes. I won't be buying the second book as they cost $46.00 here. It is on sale on Amazon for about $13: http://www.amazon.com/Its-Wrap-Sewin.../dp/156477662X

That's what I was thinking as I looked at the pictures of your LOVELY bowls. I like the way you've decorated them. I guess I'll have to start saving broken zippers as well as scraps!

About 25 years ago when my granddaughters were little, instead of bowls, I made them different shapes in pastel colors with handles that they use for Easter baskets. I had fun making them and they loved them...used them for egg hunts for several years.

I love the serged edge...that is new to me, and your wonderful embellishments. Your colors are spectacular!

I love them, so creative. I will have to give it a try. Do you know any sites with directions? Take care.
