California has such variety. The coast from Oregon to Mexico is lovely, Yosemite in the spring and fall, the foothills and blue lakes. The weather is fairly mild in the winter and summer - a little snow, a little rain, lots of sun, what's not to love.

My husband and I often vacation in southwestern Michigan. Love it. Do bike ride, visit apple orchards, visit wineries. Lots of fun.

I was born in Kalamazoo Michigan!!

My older brother and an older sister live there too. As well as cousins and my tribe, Saginaw Chippewa, is located in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan.

No one listed Missouri. We have some of the most beautiful areas in the world. Having driven an 18 wheeler for many years and being in so many states and cities, I can agree with a lot of you on the places you are liking. One of the most beautiful cities we saw was Oconomowoc Wisc. I absolutely loved that city. Enjoy every where you are as we are privilidged to live in such a great, beautiful country. June/Mo.

I'm rather fond of Michigan too. I wonder if they make fabric with big fat mosquitoes on it? Hmmm....I'd just have to get some. I hate mosquitoes, but that would be pretty funny to put in a quilt.
